Truck ECM Repairs

When it comes to damaged or faulty truck ECM units, our team of capable engineers has seen it all. When presented with a problematic unit, our first goal is always to salvage it in order to keep the cost as low as possible for our customers. Whether the issues you’re experiencing include a stalling or misfiring engine, poor engine performance, injector issues, drops in fuel economy, or an engine that fails to start at all, TRUCK ECM has the tools and experience necessary to tackle these issues quickly and efficiently. Many technicians in the trucking industry will take short-cuts, will make assumptions, and just blindly replace parts while doing their repairs. At TRUCK ECM, we take the time to accurately identify the source of the problem, so we can always address it correctly the first time around.

Our truck ECM repair process involves replacing all electronic components that are not functioning properly or will soon fail. We will clean it and inspect the outer core for any cracks or holes. Remove any corrosion or residues that may have leaked inside the ECM and apply a new coating to protect your ECM from humidity and dust. Our Diesel ECM repair services outmatch our competitors because we only use electronic parts that are of greater or equal quality to the original equipment manufacturer’s (OEM) specifications. We also utilize the highest-quality equipment and materials available in the industry to perform our services. We pride ourselves on providing exceptional customer service and the quickest turnarounds to get you back behind the wheel as soon as possible.

Lifespans for ECM units are short and prone to failure, especially models that were manufactured in the 1990s. We recommend Diesel ECM repairs when you are experiencing:

  • An engine light that won’t turn off
  • Engine misfires or stalls
  • Noticeable drops in fuel economy
  • Vehicle fails to start
  • Engine performance problems
  • Vibrating transmission
  • Faulty injector response

Core Charge Information

A refundable* core deposit of $450.00 will be charged on all ECMs.

For a core charge to be refunded, the core must arrive in good and rebuildable condition. (A rebuildable core is basically any ECM that does not have a burnt spot, short, broken or excessive corrosion on the circuit boards). The core must have the same part number as the original ordered one.

Customers have 15 days from purchase to send in their core for return.

Cores not meeting these criteria can be returned to the customer upon request, at which time another core with matching number can be sent to retrieve core deposit.

Please allow sufficient time for a returned core to reach us and be inspected before calling to check upon your refund. Typically, this can take 2 weeks from when you ship the core back to us.

*no refunds will be issued if the core does not meet the above criteria.
